Empowering Minds, One Book at a Time

At Astraliv Foundation, we are committed to making a positive impact on our community. One of our most cherished initiatives is the Jameela Abdul Majeed Library Project, dedicated to enriching the lives of children and the underprivileged by pledging 1,000 books to government schools and small public libraries.

Our Mission

The Jameela Abdul Majeed Library Project is named in honor of my parents, who instilled in me a profound appreciation for reading. My mother nurtured my early years, teaching me to read, write, and count—the fundamental pillars of education and knowledge. My father, despite modest resources, ensured our home was filled with books and comics, fostering a lifelong love for books and learning. Our mission is to cultivate a love for reading among children and provide access to educational resources for those who might otherwise be deprived of such opportunities.

Why Books Matter

Books are more than just pages bound together. They are gateways to knowledge, creativity, and inspiration. They spark a passion for learning, broaden horizons, and open doors to new opportunities. By fostering a love for reading, we can empower young minds to dream big and achieve their potential.

Our Commitment

We are pledging 1,000 books to government schools and small public libraries. These books span various genres and subjects, catering to different age groups and interests. From classic literature to contemporary stories, from science to history, our collection is designed to ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Why 1,000 Books?

We chose to pledge 1,000 books as it represents an achievable target and a clear, measurable goal for our small foundation. This milestone serves as a stepping stone towards accomplishing even greater things in the future.

Impact on the Community

By donating these books, we aim to:

  • Enhance Educational Resources: Providing government schools and public libraries with books will enrich their educational resources, benefiting both students and the community at large.
  • Broaden Worldview: Access to a diverse range of books introduces children to global perspectives, cultures, and issues, broadening their understanding of the world.
  • Inspire Young Minds: Reading exposes children to new ideas inspiring them to think creatively and dream big.
  • Equalize Opportunities: Ensuring that children from underprivileged backgrounds have access to quality reading material helps bridge the educational gap and promotes equal opportunities.

The Jameela Abdul Majeed Library Project is more than just a book donation initiative. It is a tribute to the power of books and reading and how it can have a positive impact in the communities we live in. Together, we hope to empower minds, one book at a time.
